I have to say I was a bundle of nerves when Curt and I walked into Dr. Bruce’s office today. Then, we heard the word, Cure! For me and anyone who goes into the oncologists office knowing your going to talk about cancer, Cure is such a wonderful word!!
So, here are the new facts:
1. I have to repeat some tests and have new ones to deal with, PET and Bone Marrow biopsy before chemo. Those are scheduled asap.
2. We will still be able to take our thanksgiving vacation! Woohoo!
3. I will start chemo after thanksgiving. I don’t know how long yet until test results are back.
4. Most important, I will lose my hair after the first chemo.
I know getting information from me by way of this blog seems a bit impersonal, but please know that after talking to my family, I’m just talked out. Please please please continue to contact me anyway you want. I want to hear from you but sometimes I just can’t talk back. If I can, I promise I will. My one and most significant symptom is fatigue. I’m bleary sometimes and after thanksgiving, it will be worse so your patience with me is so appreciated.
Love to you all! Sandi
